First Cermark Project

A friend of mine is a sushi chef, and wanted to make some special gifts for his co-workers. We worked together on these custom bone pickers. My friend also got a Cermark checker pattern on the underside of his. Came out great. We found that applying the Cermark with a foam brush was by far the best approach. We rastered the designs at 100%, 15% speed and 500x500 setting (250x250 proved to create weak looking, lined results. 500x500 was crucial). The Cermark seemed to bond well with the polished stainless steel.

Laser Cut LED Signs

Below is a sign I did using 0.185" acrylic. The base is made out of 4 layers of black acrylic, hard to see in the photo. An LED strip inside has about 12 red LEDs. Looks great! The effect is achieved by cutting about halfway through the acryllic in vector mode, about 100% power, 50% speed. Then the whole thing is cut out at 100% power, 10% speed.
